Fearless

Apr 27, 2024    Krystle Young

Good morning, Access Church family! Today, we are in for a special treat as we welcome our beloved Krystle Young to the pulpit with her powerful sermon titled "Fearless." Krystle’s heart for God and her passion for encouraging others shine brightly in her message, which is all about embracing the courage and strength that God has already placed within us.

Living Fearlessly in Faith

Fear is something we all face at different points in our lives. It can paralyze us, hold us back, and keep us from stepping into the fullness of what God has planned for us. But today, Krystle reminds us that we are called to live fearlessly, trusting in God's promises and his unfailing love.

The Foundation of Fearlessness

The Bible is filled with exhortations to “fear not.” From Genesis to Revelation, God continually encourages His people to trust Him and not be afraid. One of the most reassuring scriptures comes from Isaiah 41:10 (NIV):

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

This verse serves as a foundation for our courage. Knowing that God is with us, strengthening and upholding us, we can face any challenge with confidence.

Facing Our Giants

Krystle shares the story of David and Goliath, a timeless example of fearless faith in action. David, a young shepherd boy, faced a giant that trained soldiers were terrified of. Yet, David’s trust in God’s power and his refusal to be intimidated by the giant before him resulted in a miraculous victory. This story reminds us that no matter how big our "giants" may seem, God is bigger.

Practical Steps to Fearlessness

1. Recognize God's Presence: Acknowledge that God is with you in every situation. His presence is a constant

source of strength.

2. Speak God’s Promises: Declare God’s promises over your life. Scriptures like Psalm 27:1 (NIV): "The Lord is

my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be

afraid?" remind us of His protection and provision.

3. Take Action Despite Fear: Courage is not the absence of fear but taking action in spite of it. Krystle

encourages us to step out in faith, knowing that God goes before us.

4. Surround Yourself with Faith Community: Stay connected with a community that uplifts and encourages

you. We are stronger together, and having people to support us can help us to remain fearless.

Overcoming Personal Fears

Krystle shares personal anecdotes of times when fear threatened to overshadow her faith. Through prayer, worship, and leaning into God’s Word, she found the strength to overcome. Her testimony serves as a powerful reminder that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Encouragement and Hope

As Krystle wraps up her message, she calls us to embrace a fearless life, rooted in God’s unwavering love and faithfulness. She reminds us that our courage can inspire others and that living fearlessly is a testament to God’s greatness in our lives.

Conclusion

Today, let us commit to stepping out of our comfort zones and facing our fears head-on. With God by our side, we can conquer any obstacle and live out our calling with boldness and confidence. As the worship team leads us in a time of reflection and praise, let’s open our hearts to God’s empowering presence and choose to live fearlessly.

Thank you, Krystle, for your inspiring words and for reminding us that with God, we have nothing to fear. Let’s go forth and be fearless, Access Church!
